CIRP Freshman Survey
The CIRP Freshman Survey, or Cooperative Institutional Research Program Freshman Survey, was created by Dr. Alexander "Sandy" Astin in 1966. Working for the American Council on Education, Sandy brought the project to UCLA in 1973 and since then it has been administered by the Higher Education Research Institute at colleges and universities located across the country.
